All settings

Every option of the Settings page, with its default. Changes are saved as soon as you make them.

Settings has four tabs: General, Theme (see Themes), Title rules (see Chapters & routes) and Never detect. At the top, Join the Discord opens the app's Discord server. At the bottom: the app's version and a Check for updates button.

There's no Save button: a switch, a field or a path applies right away. Title rules are the only exception: they have their own Save rules button.

General

Discord

Application ID	The app's own	The Discord application your status is shown through. Test checks it. Use your own.

Presence

Setting	Default	What it does
Show where you are in the story	On	The “Reading・Chapter 1” line.
Show total time read	On	The “Total read: 3h 40m” line.
Show elapsed time	On	The timer since you started this session.
Clear presence when the VN closes	On	Your status disappears when you quit the game.
Add a “View on VNDB” button	On	A button on your status linking to the VN.
Go idle when the VN isn't the active window	Off	Clears your status and stops the timers while the game is in the background.
Seconds in the background before going idle	60	How long before idle kicks in.

Covers & matching

Setting	Default	What it does
Allow NSFW-flagged covers	Off	Off: flagged covers are blurred in the app and replaced by the fallback image on Discord.
Use Steam library names	On	Uses the Steam name of games installed through Steam, for better VNDB matches.

VNDB list

Personal token	Empty	Your VNDB token, for rating, sync and the wishlist. How to get one.
Sync reading status to my VNDB list	Off	Sends Playing / Finished / Stalled / Dropped to your VNDB list.

App

Start minimized to the tray	Off	Starts without showing the window.
Launch when Windows starts	Off	Starts the app when you log in to Windows. Still works if you move the .exe.
Check for updates at launch	On	Offers new GitHub releases when the app starts.
What's new	—	Shows the notes of the last few releases.

Desktop mascot

Setting	Default	What it does
Show a desktop mascot (ukagaka)	Off	The character on your desktop.
Character image	Built-in	Your own transparent PNG.
Height in pixels	420	Her size.
Speech balloons	On	Comments on what you read.
Keep it above other windows	Off	Off: she stays behind your windows.
Put it back in the corner	—	Resets her position.

Your data

Advanced

Setting	Default	What it does
Min. seconds between presence updates	5	The status is never sent to Discord more often than this.
Fallback Discord asset key	`vn_cover`	The image Discord shows when there's no cover to show: an NSFW cover, Private mode, or no cover found.

Never detect

Programs that are never detected as a visual novel. Their games are also hidden from the Library. Type a program name (e.g. osu!.exe) and click Add; the × on an entry (Detect it again) removes it. Not a VN on the Now reading page adds to this list.

By default it contains osu!.exe, Medal.exe and Riot Client.exe. Browsers, Discord, Steam, OBS, code editors, terminals and Windows tools are always ignored, whatever the list says.
