Covers

The app finds the VN and its cover on VNDB by itself. If it picked the wrong VN, or you want another picture, change it in a few clicks.

Automatic cover

When a new VN is detected, the app searches VNDB (the visual novel database) with the game's name and uses the best match's cover. Games installed through Steam are searched with their Steam name, which matches much better.

Change the VN or its cover

Open the Cover & privacy page of the game, either:

while it runs: Change VN / cover… on the Now reading page (or ? → Pick the right VN…);
any time: Change cover & privacy… on the VN's page in the Library.

Search VNDB

Type a title and click Search. Each result shows its year, VNDB id and rating, with two buttons:

Use: this is the VN you're reading. The name, cover and VNDB link all switch to it (also used for the View on VNDB button, rating and list sync), and the choice is remembered for this game.
Other covers…: pick the cover of another release of the same VN (a remaster, a console port, an English release…).

No results?

Try the original Japanese title, its romaji, or just the first words. VNDB knows most VNs under their original name.

Only the picture is wrong? Paste a direct link to a public image (jpg, png or webp). Preview shows it, then Use this image. That link is what Discord displays.

The fallback image is the app's default picture, or your own if you use your own Discord app.

Picking an NSFW-flagged cover asks for confirmation first. It stays blurred in the app and isn't sent to Discord unless you turn on Allow NSFW-flagged covers in Settings.

Since 2.0.2 the crop tool and covers from a file on your PC are gone: Discord could never show those anyway. Covers set that way in older versions still show in the app.
